Nafplion is located just a 10 minute drive from Tolo and is accessible also by local bus that runs approx. every hour during the summer months from outside the Hotel which takes about 25 minutes.

Once the capital of Greece after the Greek War of Independence of 1821, Nafplion now is a popular destination for foreigners and Greeks alike. Steeped in history there is an abundance of things to see and do.

Visit the Palamidi Fortress which dominates over the town. With its 999 steps to the top it offers some amazing views of the surrounding area especially the Mycenaean Plains and the Argolic sea. It also possible to start at the top by car or taxi.

Spend time strolling around the wonderful narorw streets in the old part of the town taking in the architecture left by the past occupying forces of the Ottomans, Franks and Turks. Relax in Constitution Square whilst having an ice-cream or choose from one of the many tavernas and cafeterias along the harbour front.

Whatever the time of day you visit Nafplion it really does have something to satisfy every body’s tastes.
